After a twelve year residency at Edinburgh Zoo, the giant pandas have returned home to their native China  following the end of an arrangement with the China Wildlife Conservation Association.  Yang Guang and Tian Tian arrived in our city way back in 2011 and quickly became one of the most popular animals at the zoo so it was only right that the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland ensured that these fantastic animals received the farewell they deserve.

I was incredibly fortunate to witness Tian Tian and Yang Guang in the outside section of their enclosures severak times and it truly was amazing to once again see these  remarkable bears right in front of me and it's an experience I will never forget!
